What is ISHTA Yoga?
ISHTA Yoga stands for the Integrated Science of Hatha, Tantra, and Ayurveda, offering a blend of yoga styles that harmonize with individual needs. Rooted in its Sanskrit meaning, ISHTA translates to “that which resonates with the individual,” inviting each participant to honor their personal path of growth and discovery.
In addition to uBuntu ISHTA Yoga, this retreat offers practices such as:

About your facilitators
Buhle Mabanga
Buhle is an accredited yoga and mindfulness teacher and founder of Nomvula Well-Being Movement. She began practicing mindfulness, yoga and meditation four years ago with teachers Nandiva from ISHTA Yoga and Mark Joseph from Mindful Revolution. In addition to her mindfulness and yoga work, Buhle is an artist, a children's book author, a spoken word writer and a fashion designer.
Tinashe
Tinashe is an indigenous instrument artist, Hailing from Harare, Zimbabwe. His music is influenced by his late teacher that sparked the heart of his talent from a tender age.
He plays the instruments Mbira, Flute, Djembe Drum and Marimba. He’s been with Nomvula Well-being as a sound healer through the echoes of his unique talent.
Zawadi Yamungu
Nkosingiphile Mpanza, known by her stage name "Zawadi Yamungu," is a South African- born musician, vocalist, and indigenous instrumentalist. Her stage name, "Zawadi Yamungu," carries a profound meaning as it translates to "Gift from God," reflecting her exceptional talent and the divine nature of her musical abilities. Hailing from eMandeni in the North of KwaZulu-Natal, Zawadi Yamungu has emerged as a prominent figure in the music industry, celebrated for her unique style that beautifully embraces and celebrates African culture and heritage.
